And this was only the beginning!Foundation Establishment cultivators delivering packages on their swords.Qi Refinement cultivators attending online classes from the comfort of their homes. The three major Sacred Lands all opening online shops! And a legendary Saintess becoming the queen of live streaming! All these changes started on the day the cultivation world’s version of a mobile phone was released! Collapse Adapted to Manhua, Cultivation, Male Protagonist, Modern Knowledge, Technological Gap, Transmigration He have more chemistry with his master than his fianceAnw. He started as a monogamous person but his fiance basically force him to have more wife because she cant keep him by herself yada yada. Yuck. it turns out that this is a hidden harem?(because there is no romance or harem in the genre and tags) It doesn't really have that much romance. you can barely even realize it. but 200+ chapters is when harem begins. Good novel. it's recommended . But it has a problem that bothers me. A problem that most novels have.It is the speed of events. It is a novel about immortality.Mc at the age of 37. He has 1000 years of life.I bet you he'll be immortal before 50.Also, where kind of wars between first class clans start and end in two days. And I don't tell you about selling phones. Production began on the first day and two million copies were sold on the fifth day. In an age without phones.the speed . the speed . the speed .Why don't you write slowly? For example: a record of the human journey to immortality. Read top tier providence, you'll really feel the time passing by I have read it.Correction: not the passage of time. It's a time jump well, many time jumps eventually create the passage of time haha Haha I agree with that Us I am bothered by it tooAnd this becomes more apparent in this novelBut he is earning money too fast so he can't do time skip as he will have to increase his cultivation simultaneously too If you like a good easy progression then I think you would like Nine Star Hegemon Body Art. If anything, it has a realistic time scale of someone actually cultivating, exploring, and discovering the world around them. You'll just have to ignore the 'luck of heaven' when everyone else is the protag but the MC. Some other novels have a good start but it seems like they snowball so fast once they break a few realms and the world building becomes next to nothing. What would you do if every breakthrough in your cultivation realm required thousand and millions of spirit stones? Well, our dear protagonist, Ye Chen (MC) is faced with this very problem. This is a story of how capitalism combined with online internet services changed a naive and unsuspecting Cultivation world The Sacred Land starts of somewhat in medias res short time after the MC has taken the sect master position of a prestigious sect, also called a Holy Land. The problem is that the resources that the sect used to generate wealth before have been depleted and as such they are now on the verge of bankruptcy. Luckily, the MC has discovered that their Holy Artifact is akin to a quantum computer and with this trait he was able to develop a magic ring that cultivators can wear. This ring grants functions like a modern day intrrnet connected cell phone. Que a money printing machine story, where the MC has to "invent" apps and services, such as Weibo (Twitter), TikTok, online banking, etc, for cultivators so that he can continue to breakthrough. The story generally focuses sect development but also has a decent amount of focus on characters and their interactions to keep things fresh. What makes this story fun, in my opinion, are the characters with unique personality traits and their interactions, but also reading about the interesting ways in which apps impact regular cultivators. For example, there's a narcissistic beautiful Holy maiden who's convinced that the MC is in love with her because he comes to rescue her sect when it is overrun by a beast stampede. But the fact is that the MC just wants to resolve the issue because it is affecting his profits in the area. Another example is a rival sect master who just seems to have a series of bad luck every time he encounters the MC, so much so, that he develops a type of stockholms syndrome and becomes an ardent fan of the MC - in his mind the MC is omnipotent. The Sacree Land will remind some people of Black Tech Internet Cafe to a certain extent, but there are large differences. The Sacred Land has a broader view of the Cultivation world and we often see reactions from random unrelated characters as their lives are directly or indirectly impacted by the MC and his efforts to make money. As I mentioned before, there is also a decent amount of story development happening where the focus is on the MC as he meets people and develops relationships.Overall, I'm a big fan of these types of novels - there is little to no face slapping, the MC is overpowered but cautious, likes to think of ways to makes apps so he can fuel his ever growing need for resources, and doesn't feel like a 2d character. Supporting side-characters also have their own unique traits and personalities which makes the story feel more alive and fun to read.In conclusion, I feel that The Sacred Land is under-appreciated and is definitely worth a read. I rate it a B+ or 4.5/5*Happy reading! 100 chapters later:*You are now connected to the Cultivation Chat Group*"Welcome user! As a bonus and introduction to your first time connecting to the Cultivation Chat Group please accept this free ticket to watch Tyrant Scholar's Saint Sermon!!! Congratulations!!!"***Note: Watching the sermon is mandatory and cannot be stopped. Enjoy!***“What is filial piety?”“What is love?”“What is the maternal love?” 👁️... Lmaoooooooo hahaha Jajaja 😂 Wasn't this a trial novel? At the time only 40 chapters got released, did someone else pick it up? this is cool, so far no cocky characters Does this have the same premise as 'Black Tech Internet Cafe System' and 'Bringing Culture to a Different World'? Yes. Pretty much the same premise, except it focuses on the woder cultivation world. Face slapping, cliche slow plot development, but still fun. Definitely has potential. Once MC develops the internet connection and games/streams I’m sure the comedic aspect with explode Rank C (A good work to pass the time) I see you in many novels, can you please try to write 2 senteces on why you believe it deserves that rank? I usually do not read the comments when I go to read a novel, but some people want to know what they are about to dive into. People have different taste, so for example if it gory with an evil mc, somebody might put is as a C, but I would put it as an S+ . It would be nice if you it in the future. I won't forget to downvote you I can give a great review, but only if the work is worth it. Fair enough, can you let me know what kind of novels you like? Then I will have an idea, when I see your grading. Better I think write it in your description.
